Why Renaissance Furnishings?
It seems like the world is being taken over by investment companies. The goal of many of these companies and large corporations is to make more millions of dollars for the people who already have more millions of dollars. It is no sin to be rich, but when someone who already has so much money hurts and tramples people so they can make even more money, then that becomes greed and covetousness. The bottom line for me is this: Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself , do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That means treating everybody – customers, employees and suppliers – with courtesy and respect. Sell a good product. Take care of the customer. If there is an honest problem, fix it. Be fair and honest. Do the right thing. Not every decision is based on how much money we can get from someone. Somewhere along the way, we need to make some money to pay the bills, but money is not god. I’m not saying that I’m better than anyone, it’s just what I believe. I probably should not say this in public, but my goal is to start a chain of stores where we treat everyone with courtesy and respect, give people a good deal, a good product (preferably made in America), and a good price, and leave most of the profit with the people doing most of the work. -Bill Schell
